This course is all about dialing in, to perfection, the skills that will allow you to move on to the more difficult whitewater. The advanced courses are tailored to the individual. Our instructors will exploit any and all weaknesses in your skills and coach you on how to improve them. Course content can include but is not limited to hole-playing and control, precision eddy turns, bombproof rolling, and jet ferries.

If the individual demonstrates expert competency in all whitewater kayaking basics (at the discretion of KWGS instructors), advanced courses can also be tailored to FREESTYLE RODEO techniques for that perfect blunt or loop, or for HAIR BOATING to build confidence in boofing and other boat skills necessary to navigate class V whitewater.

This course can be structured into a 1, 2 or 3 day format where we can explore different sections of the Rio Grande or Rio Chama.
